Allergens & food handling
All items are made in a shared facility that handles wheat, dairy, eggs, tree nuts, soy, and sesame. Cross-contact is possible on every product; we cannot guarantee any item is free of a given allergen. Flour & Ember Bakehouse operates under a Buncombe County food-service permit (illustrative number for this template) and follows North Carolina food-safety code. Our kitchen is ServSafe-certified.
Our “baked daily” promise
Everything is baked the morning you buy it. When it’s gone, it’s gone — that’s the point. Daily-board counts shown on this site are illustrative and reset each morning; specific items are available while supplies last and are not guaranteed.
Custom cakes — lead time, deposit & cancellation
Custom cakes need at least 72 hours’ notice; tiered & wedding cakes 3–4 weeks. Rush orders inside the window add a 25% fee when the schedule allows. A 50% deposit confirms your order; the balance is due at pickup. Wedding cakes require a signed order form and a tasting. Cancel 72+ hours before pickup for a full refund of the deposit; inside 72 hours the deposit is non-refundable, as ingredients are already sourced. All custom cakes are pickup at 48 Lexington Ave during open hours. Local delivery for tiered/wedding cakes can be arranged for a fee.
Pricing
Prices shown are illustrative for this template and subject to change with seasonal ingredients and market costs. Daily-board counts are illustrative and reset each morning; availability is never guaranteed.
Pre-orders & pickup
Reserve loaves, pastries, and cookies by 8pm for next-day pickup; Saturday loaf pre-orders close Friday at 8pm. Holiday orders open about three weeks ahead and close early. All custom cakes are pickup at 48 Lexington Ave.
Privacy
This is a template website. The order and custom-cake forms shown here are demonstrations and do not transmit, store, or process any personal data or payment. A live deployment would describe exactly what information is collected (name, contact, order details), how it is used to fulfill your order, and how to request deletion, consistent with applicable law.
